Finding Alex
April 9, 2006
Retired Lexington police officer Yolanda Davis searches for answers about a loved one’s death in post-Katrina New Orleans. See a multimedia presentation about her trip to the Big Easy and her reason’s behind her investigation here. You can also find the stories through this link.
Reporter Linda Blackford and I spent three days in New Orleans as Yolanda questioned residents who lived near Alex Weathers before and during Hurricane Katrina, and as she made phone call after phone call trying to get a copy of Alex’s autopsy. She found few answers so far, only contradictions from a system still in disarray from the storm.
