I will correct myself on the fouls. I should have looked that up someone told me that. But, I did see the game and if the fouls were 18 on Lexington Catholic and 16 on Bryan Station. It was only because the refs tried to sugar coat it at the end so it wouldn't be so obivious that they blew the game. Bryan Station was already down by 20 with a couple of minutes left when the refs finally started calling fouls for them. They knew they couldn't come back then.

LEXINGTON CATHOLIC OUTPAID BRYAN STATION not outplayed.
There was no way Lexington Catholic outplayed Bryan Station what they did was out fouled Bryan Station and got away with it. You can try and sugar coat it all you want Lexington Catholic fans. But we all know the truth. They just didn't want Bryan Station to represent the 11th region. If you watched the game and didn't see those boys getting beat up, then you need to get some glasses. If they had a rematch with a different set of officials not from the 11th region, Bryan Station would win!

Let's get one thing straight here my son did not intentionally foul that young man
He was in fact going for the ball and blocks it, which he DID and he fell into the young man
With his hands raised up he was trying to back up but the player on the floor kept backing into my into his legs, my son looked down and that is when the
Ref ran over there and looked at him and then T 'd him up. My son is a good sport he met no ill intent towards any player out there but I know our young men tired their best too play threw all the negative calls Tuesday night and yes I
Know that they wanted it bad but Bryan Station's Basketball players never said a word out there on that court they held their heads up high and played till the end
So don't be so easily to judge US I praise Bryan Station's Coaching staff for their hard work this season it was outstanding, the Administration for their support, fans for filling the seats and watching our kids play so hard, and most of all the Parents for without them none of this would be possible.
And I would like to praise our 2 players that have DIV- 1 Scholarship signed and ready I love you Guys your are my HEROS! thanks for the BEST SEASON
every I enjoyed the Ride.

Bryan Station got wronged
and for your information the young man that got the Tech still had his hands up and the little boy kept pushing himself into the big man in kind the big man was trying to get away from him so he looked down that is when the ref called the tech this is what the ref told the coaching staff so get your facts straight
before you start telling stuff ,so you can't look down at folks when you are trying to get out of the way of them? since you know everything

and futhermore 2 of the Station Players are heading to Div-1 schools also
and how can you beat 8? and the star player was hacked and knocked down too. when the Lexcath player was knocked down by a station player one station player went to help him and the ref pushed him away now what.
and too me it was a black and white deal cause if both teams was white the game would have been called FAIRLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we are fans of station and feel they were wronged and you love using that boy word so that tells me something about you. we teach our kids to face adversity
everyday, and to repect one another yes too you it is only a game to us it was to be our dream to make it to rupp not have it stripped away like that so before you start talking that we are monsters, poor sports or even worse in your mind get your facts straight. and in Glory road you only so the Movie you don't know what the African Americans really went threw playing Kentucky back in those days. our boys did play D but too get called for fouls is crazy how can you play D when the Refs are at your back everytime you tired too move and the Big Man
had 3 fouls in 3 ticks of the clock so answer that I see it wasn't for lack of Trying

and in closing I feel if that Private schools should have their own tournments and stay out of the public schools I hope that KHSAA passes that one.
and we know that the game was fixed because a high school coach told us and a someone else told us the same thing.
God Bless you too

I agree that Lexington Catholic played a good game but myyyyyyyyy gosh anyone in their right mind could tell that the refs favored Lexington Catholic. It was blatently obvious! I take nothing away from the Knights it wasn't their fault that the refs called a lopsided game. One could point out a number of instances where Bryan Station penetrated to the basket while getting mauled and there was not a whistle in sight. If it wasn't obvious nobody would mention it! Again Catholic is a good team but they surely had help. Anybody familiar with sports and the profession of being a referee knows that a referee can manipulate the game in a teams favor and keep the stat sheet in check as well. Calling fouls in certain situations can be very influential. That was certainly the case in this game. There are insignificant foul calls and their are momentum breaking foul calls. If you noticed the refs called some early insignificant fouls in Station's favor to keep the stat shee tight and give themselves some cushion so they can do the dirty work a lil later. It's typical if you have knowledge of the game. And everyone knows that you can't play defense against quick whistles so you end up letting men go right by you and toning down your defense. Now the kid that committed the alleged flagrant foul was going for the ball. A flagrant foul is one where a player doesn't necessarily go for the ball. The kid gave him a stare afterwards and i didn't agree with that but the foul wasn't flagrant because he went for the ball. He is just a big kid that fouled a smaller kid and get's the bad end of the deal because of the stare he gave him afterwards. If you paid much attention later in the game a Catholic player fouled the Heck out of a Station player but he reached and quickly held his hand out to help him up. Now let's ask ourselves the question. What is the intent of both situations? I guess the kid from Station just needs to learn how to put on a better front and hide his true intent, maybe...? Hmmmmmmm food for thought. In closing the Knights played well, and Bryan Station played against eight and mainly six because one of the refs was absolutely upsurd and obvious, goshhhhh. But ohh life goes on you guys. Let's just all get along it's a game! We can all learn from this situation. Always be prepared to outsmart and outplay your adversities! Everything happens for a reason! God Bless and God is good!

I agree completely that Lex Cath outplayed Station and deserved the win. Plus, the info in the earlier email about the number of fouls is wrong. Lex Cath had 18 fouls and Station had only 16 fouls, plus one technical on a player for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Although it is understandable that Bryan Station fans are disappointed with the loss to Lexington Catholic, they should not blame it on the referrees. The referees called a fair game, especially when they got it back under control after a Station player taunted a Lex Cath player while standing over him (after the Station player had intentionally knocked the Lex Cath player down). The referees properly gave the Station player a technical for such unsportsmanlike behavior.

Station was simply outplayed. Station's lead player even stated to the press after the game that "I just didn't come to play".

Glory Road is a bad analogy - in Glory Road the kids hustled and played well, and that is how they won. It is not a question of black or white - it is a question of which team has the heart, drive, talent, work ethic and passion to win. In the game Tuesday night Lexington Catholic shot the ball better, hustled more, defended better, played as a team and wanted it more. They have been ranked Number One in the state virtually all season and for good reason. They have three seniors going to play Division One basketball and two juniors who will likely do the same.

What does Station have? One thing that is clear is that they have are some fans who do not understand the concept of fair sportsmanship. Hopefully, the 11th Region fans will come together to support the Champion Lexington Catholic Knights in the Sweet Sixteen in the spirit of good sportsmanship. Otherwise, their team members will never learn what it truly takes to be a winner - in basketball or in life. Go Knights!

The headlines should read: OFFICALS BOMB DEFENDERS
Because that is how I saw the game at EKU Tuesday @ the Regional Finals
It was very hard to sit there and watch the officals pick those kids apart like they did, by not calling anything against LexCath just letting them throw fore arms, that their elbows were red as fire, reach ins knock downs and hitting players arms when they were shooting, still no fouls. Made me think that I was watching Wrestling and boxing rolled into one! How could they do something like that? Those young men fought long and hard to get to this moment and look what happened BEAT
By Eight! I know everyone says coaching has something though do with this but I say wrong there was nothing the coaches could do but watch it unfold before them. I wonder if something could have been done when we heard the rumors that the game was fixed and that the officials had already decided the game before it even started. This information should have been reported to the Commisssioner"s office so that we have requested some new officials for the game
You could see the officials laughing during the game they called 38 fouls on Bryan Station and only 12 on LexCath boy what a shame that we had to witness that kind of game I if wonder if the game was called fair I bet that Bryan Station would have gave them a Good game, but when you have officials that call anything is some kind of terrible. I really hope that we can get someone to look
Into these allegations against these three Refs and file criminal charges against them. Maybe Coach should have the guys watch GLORY ROAD before they played so they would know what they were up against. But in the end I take my hat off to the Bryan Station Defenders for their awesome season, there humble
Attitudes, and good hearts during the game and I give a thumbs up to all the coaches a job well done. Because this sure was not a Glory Road on Tuesday night! I wonder how those officials spent all that cash form the proceeds of the game that they called oh so well?

This information should have been reported to the Commisssioner”s office so that we have requested some new officials for the game
