A Symbol of Impermanence

Tibetan monks dismantled the sand mandala they created for more than five days in a symbol of impermanence, then poured what remained of the sand into a creek below Anglin Falls in Rockcastle County. Read more
A Contribution to Society

Julia Steinman, 17, was diagnosed with down syndrome at birth. “My desire is for her to be independent and contribute to society,” says Meg Steinman, Julia’s mother. The doctors told Julia’s parents she would not develop and be a contributing member of society. Julia is proving those doctors wrong. Read more
