This Week in Pictures includes High Hope Steeplechase events, Bike Lexington, the first graduates of the North American Racing Academy, presidential candidates campaigning on the eve of the primary, high school softball, the annual law enforcement memorial service at EKU, and the excitement of the high school rodeo.

Track to the past

There was a not-so-common site on the railroads between Louisville and Lexington on May 24. RJ Corman Railroad Company took its steam locomotive out for a ride. Packing six hopper cars full of sand from Louisville the old train brought the load to Lexington and made stops along the way.

2008 Law Enforcement Memorial Service

At an annual law enforcement memorial service, the Department of Criminal Justice Training honored 25 officers killed in the line of duty.
