The Dame was something special to a lot of people. I remember turning 21 and the first thing I wanted to do was join all my friends at a show. It was a short-lived experience, but one I’m truly blessed to have had.

You live a sad life if this is all you’ve got. The Dame was poorly run, couldn’t pay its rent and sold out to the corporate world by taking a payout of $50,000.00 to end their lease early. They could’ve stayed longer and found another place but they chose the money! And by the way, couldn’t they use that money to re-establish themselves somewhere else? The Dame is just a name that can resurface somewhere else…..but they won’t even try. Stop blaming other people. Get a job!

It saddens me to know that Lexington is losing another piece of its history so that an un-needed new skysraper can be built. Instead of perserving the history of Downtown Lexington, it seems to me that some people are only wanting to destroy it!
