As a member of the last eight grade class (1949-1950) at Linler Elementary School, I am rather sad that it is no longer a functioning school. When ever I passed the school I made a point to let anyone with me know that that was my first school. I started in the little building, and of course finished in the big building. Ms. Susan Gabby was the principal. I suppose that everything has to pass sometime.

I went on to earn a Ph.D. at the University of Kentucky in Educational Psychology, and presently the Associate Vice President for Institutional Research at Mississippi Valley State University.
