“The future of amateur boxing,” according to one local promoter, is this sweet-faced third grader who loves his sister and his parents and lunch. Thomas Kinchen was just 5 when he asked his parents if he could learn to box. At 8, he’s still undefeated in the ring and promoter Sarg Farris says he has all the power he needs to be great. Thomas, in the meantime, would rather you called him “Rocky.” His story so far.

I am biased, but great story, Amy. You and David did an excellent job. I am grateful that Thomas lived through all of his early challenges. It makes me excited to see what God has in store for the rest of his life.
What a wonderful true life story. May God always guide and protect him. With God he will never lose.
I really enjoyed this story. I liked the footage of him “working over” the bag. He sure can throw a punch. Keep up the hard work Rocky all of the good things in life are worth fighting for. God bless you and your family.
The music and narrator were too dramatic for the story. It’s a kid who boxes, people.
Consider the population of fighters all over the world, and the type of upbringing these guys/girls normally have.
Sorry, seems like a nice kid but I am not impressed, at least not the way the reporter wants me to be.
We get enough drama from all the negative news of the day.
It is very refreshing to see a spectacular emphasis on a positive story. There are not many eight year old kids who box when compared to other sports like basketball or football, especially one who was able to overcome such odds as a young child.
Nice kid, neat story, very impressed!
im in his class
Thisis a great story about a great kid from a great family, God bless you always.
