Isn’t it amazing what can be done with open hearts, persistence, and correctly ordered priorities? Thank you to Andy Olsen for bringing this wonderful story to us and to Rebecca and Mike Haake for sharing their trials and triumphs. Kerwin has touched my heart and will be in my prayers. Merry Christmas Haakes. May you have a truly joyful 2009!

Excellent job on this story. Even though I have been around this family as well as Kerwin personally, the way you put this story together allows others to see how dedicated and loving a couple can be to care for a special needs child such as Kerwin. They trully are great people and went through more than any of us can image to bring home the son that they love and now call thier own.
And to Larry who posted earlier, yes the Ky doctors can perform miracles and I comend them for that as well as I am sure Mike and Becky do as well.

Excellent work, Andy. Thanks for helping us see what kind of reach we can have beyond our own, small community - both as photographers and humanitarians.

I visited North West Haiti Christian Mission in 2002 and can honestly say my life has never been the same since the moment I entered that country. Thank you to Andy and Erika Olsen, the Haakes', and the missionaries at NWHCM. This is a story that needs to be heard.
