Isn’t it amazing what can be done with open hearts, persistence, and correctly ordered priorities? Excellent job on this story. Even though I have been around this family as well as Kerwin personally, the way you put this story together allows others to see how dedicated and loving a couple can be to care for a special needs child such as Kerwin. They trully are great people and went through more than any of us can image to bring home the son that they love and now call thier own.
And to Larry who posted earlier, yes the Ky doctors can perform miracles and I comend them for that as well as I am sure Mike and Becky do as well.

Hey this is such a great story with such a happy ending,,, how can I use my Discover Card and buy me one from Haiti,, Ky doctors can perform miracles,, he went from not being able to walk to being a UK wide reciever,,Rich Brooks may need to look into this. Were can I get a box of dirt cookie for my child for a christmas present?

All these children here in USA that need help and you put one on a credit card, you could got a 52inch flat screen from Circuit City,,,,,,,if you file bankruptcy will they come back and take it were it belongs, with its real mommy and daddy,,, you people make me gag. In Ky a bottle of pills would have got you one the could walk and hear,,, beside’s this story has lies,,, first he couldn’t walk,, now he’s a wide reciever at UK.

I visited North West Haiti Christian Mission in 2002 and can honestly say my life has never been the same since the moment I entered that country. Thank you to Andy and Erika Olsen, the Haakes’, and the missionaries at NWHCM. This is a story that needs to be heard.
