Dwight Icenhower’s name echoes that of the man who served as President of the United States for most of the 1950s, and Saturday he won a contest impersonating the man who changed music that same decade. The Orlando performer bested 22 other hopefuls in the Elvis in Frankfort competition Friday and Saturday in the Capitol Plaza Hotel. With his victory, Icenhower secured a place in the annual Images of the King competition during Elvis week, Aug. 10-15, in Memphis. In addition to the competitors, there was a performance by 2009 Images of the King champion Jesse Aaron. Event organizer Kathy Stigers said 235 people turned out to see the competition, which is held the last weekend in February every year at the Capitol Plaza in Frankfort.

Hi,
I wish Elvin Priestley was on at this event. He is the best Elvin I have on my books…. pity he was too busy.
I definately agree that elvin priestley is one of the best that i have heard. He even looks like him when not in character.
The best Elvis impersinator I have seen is Eddie Miles from Bardstown, Ky. He has been doing it for years and has even performed at Pigeon Forge,Tenn. Was he there?
The winner, Dwight Icenhower is an amazingly talented performer, as were many of the other contestants that entered. It is an honor to have him represent the “Elvis in Frankfort” Regional Contest.
