Where an eagle flies

After a couple of years of reports of bald eagles visiting Lexington in the winter months, we finally have solid photographic proof as this eagle was photographed at the Jacobson Park reservoir. The numbers of eagles has increased in Kentucky, with at least 300 to 400 spending their winters here. Photographs by Charles Bertram| Staff

One of my co-workers has been telling me this for months. This morning, she brought in several shots of the big E out there at the golf course taken a couple of days ago.
That is the best EAGLE I have seen on that golf course in a long time.

the picture is deceiving, i should say the caption is deceiving.it is obvious the eagles tallons are ready to grab supper
Not wishing to be redundant (which never stopped me in the past); but that is close to a perfect picture in my book. I love the small branches sticking up around the broken off tree branch/trunk as the eagle prepares to land. That should be in Natl Geographic – and there it is, right here in Fayette County to boot! All of the pictures are amazing! The Bald Eagles’ resurrection from near extinction demonstrates the resiliency that is possible with a little focused effort. It is an interesting national symbol.
