Lexington Ballet tells the ‘Tales of Beatrix Potter’

The Lexington Ballet will stage artistic director Luis Dominguez’s original ballet, The Magical Tales of Beatrix Potter, March 21, 2009 at the Lexington Opera House. The ballet combines classic and original music to tell stories including Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny, Jeremy Fisher and The Tale of Two Bad Mice. We caught a dress rehearsal of the ballet and talked to Dominguez about his new show.

Artists in Residence at Sayre

During the past two weeks, Sayre School students in Lexington were introduced to Asian music and dance through the school’s “Visiting Voices” initiative. The performance Friday March 13 in the school gym featured artists-in-residence Cheryl Pan and K.H. Han and classes from many grades.

Various performing Arts groups showcase talent at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Monday, Feb. 2, 2009.
