Night Shift = Basketball

December 14, 2005

08dnads03

Back on the night shift this month. That means basketball, and lots of it. Here’s a shot from Lexington Catholic as they played Brentwood Academy last Friday night. I used two White Lightning 800 studio strobes to light one half of the court. I put heavy black foil on the reflectors to block some of the light from the stands. Canon MkII 250th sec, f4.5, 400 asa, 80-200 zoom.

Mark talks Polaroid’s at UK

December 2, 2005

Rondoblog

I will be giving a talk at the UK Art museum in the Singletary Center on Wednesday Dec. 7 at noon. The presentation is free and I will be showing some of the work I am doing with Polaroid 55 film through an old Crown Graphic 4×5 camera. Basically showing a bunch of portraits and trying to answer some questions if I can!

Hope to see you there.

Mark
