Tom Baker, 92, landed his hand-made Volmer amphibian aircraft at Bluegrass Airport in Lexington, Ky., on Thursday, October 30, 2008, where he is donating the plane to the Kentucky Aviation Museum. Baker built the plane from plans he bought and it took him 29 years to complete. He has been flying the plane, which can land on water or land, for 15 years. Read more about it.

This flight did not serve beverages or offer a lavatory. Two aviation campers take to the sky with pilot Jeremy Growdon after training on flight simulators and learning the basics of aviation. April Cook, 15, said this would be her eighth time flying, and she was only excited and not nervous at all.
