THE JERRYS FARM

In 2003, Jerry Hicks and Jerry Neff started The Jerrys Farm, 2859 Three Mile Run Road in Fleming County. The farm is a new/old “green farm”, borrowing from many old farming techniques while incorporating many modern farming practices. They do all of their plowing and mowing using horse drawn equipment, but use a solar panel to power the water pumps. They raise hormone-free pasture-raised chickens and pasture-raised beef on their 150-acre farm. The farm is open for public tours and hands-on farm experiences. Staff Photos by Charles Bertram | Staff
